Workshops

All techniques listed below can be taught on a group basis either in a venue of your choice or in Maggie's workroom. The workshops run from 10am to 4pm with class sizes from 12 - 15 students. All levels of quilters can take the following classes. Each workshop will cover the traditional techniques, shortcuts and useful tips.

Mastering Hand Appliqué

Short Cuts to appliqué– You can do it. Invisible needle turn appliqué in just three stitches! Demonstrations on how to achieve perfect points, smooth rounded curves and inverted Vs. There will be demonstrations for right and left handed quilters.

Celtic Or Stained Glass Windows

Hot Ribbon Art

You'll love this new technique! Fusible appliqué with a decorative ribbon edge. Fun, fast and easy. The 1/8 inch fusible double sided ribbon comes in 22 colours. This new technique requires NO needle turned edges or stitching! Just simply iron-on the ribbon to fabric or paper. Ideal for Appliqué, Hawaiian Appliqué, Stained Glass Window, Pan Dau & Celtic projects.

Water Soluble Embellishments

This simple free motion machine stitching technique creates stunning embellishments for all sorts of projects using water-soluble fabrics. Sewing machine essential for workshop and must be in good working order.
